value as an organization is built. NRBP puts these

nearly 3000 individuals who have invested their time and
resources in NRBP's mission. NRBP's members are located
throughout New Jersey but have a particular interest in the
vitality of the Newark region, the revitalization of the
City of Newark and the availability of opportunities for
growth therein.

ADVOCATING:
NRBP is a voice for members on issues that impact economic
competiveness and vitality. Public policy decisions have a
dramatic effect on the ability of our members to thrive and
prosper. NRBP advocates at the city, regional, state and
national levels for individual members and public policies
that are consistent with economic growth. We collaborate
with members and peer organizations to identify critical
issues and then work actively to represent them when
critical decisions are made.
REVITALIZING:
An active, dynamic and successful business community is key
to providing the employment, educational and recreational
opportunities that are leaading to Newark's renewal. NRBP
has a strong history of representing business and embracing
diversity that dates to its founding as the Newark Board of
Trade in 1869 and rolse at the Newark Chamber of Commerce
dating to 1922. Today, NRBP is fully engaged with partner
organizations that are committed to the ongoing
revitalization of Newark.
