Build Your Business! Driving Marketing to Sales on April 10, 2014 was one of the best I have attended in a while. The topic was relevant to anyone in the room and the panelists shared a lot of great insights and ideas to help any business grow. I felt I really learned a lot and it also validated the importance of training your team to be customer focused and part of the “selling” process.  In addition, I got to network with several good leads for my business which is always an added bonus. Thanks for scheduling this great program.

Joseph C. Casale, Assistant Director for Finance, Newark Public Library, 8/13

As a non-profit entity, the Newark Public Library relies on the generosity of corporate, foundation, and individual donors to supplement the support it receives from the City of Newark. The relationships made at NRBP, at events from forums to networking lunches to the annual gala, have been converted into funding opportunities on numerous occasions. In addition, existing relationships between the Library and the aforementioned components of the Greater Newark community have been expanded and solidified.

I have found the workshops on social media extremely helpful and informative. And I have met so many passionate and motivated people. I feel very enriched by my membership and greatly value it.

Faith E. Baum, Principal, Illumination Arts LLC, 8/13

I was invited to an interview for a project in Newark by a New York City landscape architect. During the meeting, he pulled out the drawings of the site and I began to identify all of the development and proposed development in the area. I was able to discuss Newark knowledgably and intelligently using the information I’d gained at NRBP events on the topic, making it clear that Illumination Arts would be an asset to the design team. We got the project!

Ken Oettinger, Business Development Manager, H&C Metals, Inc., 8/13

Mr. Oettinger reported that he made a successful connection with Hollister Construction Services, thanks to NRBP. His company is a Newark-based metal recycler seeking to work with developers and construction companies who are demolishing some of Newark’s older and unusable buildings. His specific interest was the Teacher’s Village project in downtown Newark, now under construction by Hollister. Ken wrote, "Thanks for the follow-up and referral. Much appreciated."

Liz Archer, Marketing Pursuit Manager, Dewberry 5/13

NRBP staff does an excellent job in producing all of its events, particularly the Annual Transportation Awards Breakfast. It is a wonderful opportunity to honor those who serve in transportation industry. A job well done!

Matt Durkin, Branch Manager, Jersey City, Robert Half International 3/13

I want to compliment you and your colleagues at NRBP on an excellent presentation this morning (Real Estate Market Forecast, March 5, 2013). I found the information presented to be highly informative. I feel the presenters could have spoken for another hour and would have continued to have a captured audience. A job well-done to all! Again thank you for a very informative session.

Sandra Rodriguez, Ironbound Community Corporation 2/13

I am delighted and extremely excited to serve as a NRBP ambassador. I should share with you that thanks to my initial attendance at my first luncheon in January, I met with a director of Gibbons P.C. who also serves on the board of the nonprofit Build with Purpose. We are going to meet to discuss a potential partnership to help rebuild some Hurricane Sandy damaged homes in Ironbound. It was a very meaningful connection for our organization.

Vivian DiStaso, Director of Advertising, New Jersey Law Journal 2/13

NRBP is an integral part of any company that would like to conduct business in the Newark area. It should be considered as a part of a strategic marketing plan. The staff of NRBP work hard to provide members with a strong referral source.

Joseph C. Casale, Assistant Director for Finance, Newark Public Library 11/12

The Newark Regional Business Partnership provides informative programming on business developments in the greater Newark region as well as providing ample opportunities for worthwhile networking.

Michael Powers, Chief Sales Officer, Garden Savings Federal Credit Union, 11/12

The NRBP is an outstanding resource devoted to informing, educating and most importantly, connecting the organizations that comprise its members. We value all that NRBP brings to the table and are proud to be a part of this active and professionally managed chamber.

Faith Baum, Principal, Illumination Arts LLC, 11/12

NRBP was the first organization I joined after starting my business because I knew that it was a great way to network, make new contacts and keep informed about potential projects in Newark and the surrounding area.

Through my involvement in NRBP, I’ve gathered information that is useful to me and my business, expanded my network and become better at running my business.

I recommend NRBP to any business person who wants to keep abreast of what’s happening in Newark, expand their network or learn about topics that are relevant to all types of businesses and organizations.

Sharlene Vichness, President, Language Directions, 3/11

Through the good graces of Executive Vice President Barbara Kauffman, we were introduced to the director of human resources at Kessler Institute. Kessler subsequently became a client and we helped them to secure a literacy training grant for programs in English pronunciation improvement and cultural awareness. Barbara continues to prioritize helping NRBP members to connect with one another for mutual benefit. For this reason, Language Directions places a high value on our membership in NRBP.
