NRBP’s Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is accepting applications from creative, determined, and enthusiastic middle and high school students who want to be entrepreneurs. The Newark YEA! Class of 2017 will begin the 30-week after school program in late October with classes on Monday from 4 – 7 PM at Rutgers Business School in Newark.
Founded in 2004 at the University of Rochester with support from the Kauffman Foundation, YEA! has helped more than 6,000 students nationwide launch over 4,000 businesses and social movements.
YEA! takes students through the entire business creation process – brainstorming ideas, writing business plans, pitching to potential investors, registering with government agencies – all the way to actually launching and running their businesses or social enterprises.
Due to its commitment to New Jersey’s largest city, NRBP is sponsoring this program with an emphasis on recruiting student residents of Newark and those who attend school in Newark (however students elsewhere in the Newark region may apply).
