Founded in 2004 at the University of Rochester with support from the Kauffman Foundation, YEA! has helped more than 6,000 students nationwide launch over 4,000 businesses and social movements.

YEA! takes students through the entire business creation process – brainstorming ideas, writing business plans, pitching to potential investors, registering with government agencies – all the way to actually launching and running their businesses or social enterprises.

Due to its commitment to New Jersey’s largest city, NRBP is sponsoring this program with an emphasis on recruiting student residents of Newark and those who attend school in Newark (however students elsewhere in the Newark region may apply).
VOLUNTEERS WANTED: Entrepreneurs, business mentors and more

In addition to recruiting students, Newark YEA! invites adult entrepreneurs and business people to participate in YEA! by serving as teachers, business mentors, guest speakers, business plan reviewers and more. Please contact NRBP’s CEO Chip Hallock if you are interested in learning more about volunteer opportunities.
